When Senator Mike Morrell hosted the fourth annual Top Chamber Business Awards last month, Jensen’s Finest Foods was one of the honorees.

The 50 businesses honored were nominated by their local chambers of commerce and recognized for their contributions to the Inland Empire economy and their commitment to their communities.

Ginny Durand, chair of the Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce, said the chamber “selected Jensen’s because they were our Business of the Year from our awards gala and we thought it would be a nice follow-up for their year.”

Durand added that Gene Fulton, owner of Jensen’s, “was so gracious when he was selected and we were so proud of him.”

“The Top Chamber Business Awards is a way for us to honor local businesses that have given much to the community and have helped the region weather the recent economic downturn,” said Senator Morrell.

“Their leadership is what will drive the growth of the Inland Empire for years to come. It’s my privilege to work with our chambers to recognize these honorees for their entrepreneurial spirit.”

Fulton was accompanied to the awards luncheon by his wife, Sandy, his sons Matt and Mike Zack, and his friends Butch and Yvonne Baumann and Pat and JoAnn Welsh.
