The vision is to help clients obtain a healthier, more stable life and licensed chiropractor Kyle Umland does this by adjustment to the body. Whether it is emotional, physical or chemical, stress can occur in all three categories and cause tension within our bodies; Umland adjusts the body through chiropractic services, relieving it of that stress.

Umland, who has been licensed for over 20 years, has his primary practice in Pasadena, Calif., but after making a recent move to the mountain, he thought that his services needed to be offered up here, as well.

“We can’t avoid stress; it’s just the way life is,” Umland explained. “But the more functional your body is, that can help take stress off you.”

According to Umland, when it comes to chiropractic care, “Ninety percent of people do not do it, and 10 percent do.”

Umland bases this off the medical model; “It’s all based on symptoms. If you have symptoms, then you do something to fix it,” and, in terms of needing to align your body, most of those symptoms are not always noticeable.

“But it is important to get your spine adjusted because that is how your brain talks to the body,” Umland clarified. “If you lose proper motion, there is more of a chance for something not to work.”

To completely heal, Umland remarked that we must focus on three things: attitude of gratitude, meaning we should focus on our blessings; a healthy lifestyle that includes moving, eating and living better; and keeping a clear connection between the brain and the body. “This is when body alignment comes into play,” he disclosed.

An average adjustment with Umland does not take a long time, but it is still very powerful. The point of someone coming in for appointments on a regular basis is so that the body does not reach a point of no return.

“I can help get rid of the pain but, after a while, it’s possible it will return,” Umland stated. “It is better for them to come in on a regular basis and get adjusted.”

This is why Umland created a business model that will benefit the customer in terms of prices and regular visits. Through his unlimited program, clients become more like members and pay a monthly fee that allows them an unlimited amount of visits for that month.

Clients who do not sign up for the membership have the option to purchase a 10-pack visit, or pay-per-visit. Appointments are not necessary as walk-ins are welcome.

“I don’t turn anyone away for any reason,” he noted. “If they need help, I give help.”

Describing himself as a “glass half-full” type of man, Umland hopes to pass this on to all of his clients to help them live a more balanced, healthier, happier and positive life.
