Tom Preston, who grew up at Camp O-Ongo in Running Springs, worked as a counselor, as seen in this 1955 photograph.

Welcome to the discussion.

Truly, worthable newspaper. Its trying to cover all the news which are even unnoticed. They cover the lives of normal people and common issues that are going on in the present world. The assignment help online has adopted this news link at the bottom of their blog.

I was a. Counselor in 1943 and 1944.  It was a great experience...but I can't find a good history on the web.   Any suggestions?   I was Jeanne Vestey at that time.

I really like this picture of Tom down at the rifle range. Spent many an hour down there myself, all those years ago.

Hi Tom ~ Just thought you and previous campers from 40's and 50's would like to remember Howard T. Campbell, my brother ~ who passed on Tues Oct 22, 2013, only 20 days after his 78th birthday. He was ill after a fall that broke his leg up near the hip.

I already miss talking with him so much ~

I hope I've used the right way to contact you and Camp O-Ongo regarding this loss of mine.
