From Garden to Table - Learn to Garden and Preserve

Do you want to learn more about growing your own food in the fall and wonder what to do with all the produce you get from your garden? Do you want to protect your native oaks and plants from new and emerging pests? Are you wanting to save water and resources when you garden, but not sure where to start? We are here to help!

UCCE San Bernardino County Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers are offering four free workshops at the Crestline Library on Saturday, Aug. 17, about all that and more. All speakers are mountain-knowledgeable.

Participants can go to any or all of the workshops. The first workshop is “Growing Your Cool-Season Veggie Garden” from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The second class is “Preserving Your Harvest” from 10:30 a.m. to noon. “Sustainable Landscaping” will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. and “Emerging Pests” will be from 2 to 3 p.m.
