A resident of Cedarpines Park woke up June 3 and found himself no longer in possession of $6,000 in cash and $7,000 in high-tech equipment and other expensive personal belongings.

An unknown subject broke into the victim’s vehicles, which were parked at his residence in Cedarpines Park. There were no signs of forced entry. Around 7:40 a.m., the victim notified the sheriff’s department of the vehicle burglary that likely occurred between 10 p.m. June 2 and 6 a.m. June 3.

Missing items included $6,000 in cash, all $100 bills, which were kept in the vehicles instead of between the victim’s mattresses.

Also missing were items worth about $7,000, including two IBM Think Pad laptops, an iPhone 8, Alpinestar street bike suit, two pairs of Fly sunglasses, a black Tumi laptop bag, JBL black headphones, a matte black Bell Revolver helmet and other miscellaneous items.

Total estimated value of the losses was about $13,000.
