Summer is rapidly approaching and the 2019 Lake Arrowhead Summer Concert Series is ready to begin on Saturday, May 11.

The first band of this year’s concert series is Adrianna & Her Groovecutters, who play blues with a hint of jazz mixed in.

According to the band’s website, the first album, released in 2014, was nominated in the “Best New Artist Debut” Category by both The Blues Foundation for a Blues Music Award and Blues Blast Magazine for their annual award.

The website also said that Marie is the “daughter of the well-known ‘60s folk group The Carolee Singers” and her “musical road education began at an early age; traveling as a small child up and down the eastern seaboard with her musical parents.” She started performing at 10-years-old and continued studying both music and acting. Then, “with nothing but her guitar and desire to experience the world that had been calling her all her life, she left for California at 17.”

“Since moving to Lake Arrowhead full-time 5 years ago, I had hoped that we might get the opportunity to play the Village Concert series,” Marie said. “I am pleased to say that we will be opening this year’s concert series on May 11. The Groovecutters and I have a great show prepared and look forward to an evening of swinging blues, dancing and friends.”

On Friday, May 17, Jim Curry, a tribute to John Denver, will be playing. On Saturday, May 18, The Neil Deal, a tribute to Neil Young and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (CSNY) will be playing.

The concerts will begin at 7 p.m. all this season. Reserved seating is available. For more information on reserving a table or to see the full summer concert lineup, visit For more information on Adrianna & Her Groovecutters, visit
