A16-year-old girl missing from Alabama was located by deputies near Rimforest. Around 4 a.m. on June 27, she and her 18-year-old friend were found asleep in a car parked along State Highway 18, according to a press release from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station.

It was 3 a.m. when Detective M. Turner from the police department in Guntersville, Alabama, contacted Sargeant C. Mulligan at the Twin Peaks station. Turner explained he was investigating the case of a juvenile who had been missing since June 24. The petite teenager, just 5’2” tall, has blonde/strawberry blonde hair and green eyes.

According to the press release, Turner had information that the girl might be in Twin Peaks, and he was requesting assistance. Turner said the girl and her friend, Caleb Storm Walker, would be driving a black 2017 Toyota Corolla with Alabama license plates.

Twin Peaks deputies began a search, looking for the vehicle and the missing juvenile. At about 4 a.m., Deputy K. Gallacher located the vehicle on Highway 18 near Rimforest. The female subject was taken to the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall to await her parent’s arrival from Alabama.

Walker was arrested on a warrant from Alabama for interference with custody. He was booked at Central Detention Center in San Bernardino, awaiting extradition to Alabama.

According to a report from WAFF 48 News, the girl’s mother said she did not know about any relationship between her daughter and Walker before their disappearance.
