A female subject allegedly kidnapped her former boyfriend, a Running Springs man who was married but had an affair with the subject. He knew her for one year, and broke off the relationship several months ago.

According to the victim, his ex-girlfriend has harassed him ever since. He said she had gone to his residence on numerous occasions, attempting to contact him.

The victim told the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on Aug. 13 that the female subject went to his residence at 1 a.m. on Aug. 8 and attempted to break in through a window. However, the window was to a neighboring unit. The neighbor told the subject that no one was home, and she left.

On Aug. 10, at about 10:30 p.m., his ex-girlfriend reportedly returned to the incident location, the victim recounted. She asked to come inside but he refused to let her in.

When she heard the shower, she asked who it was. The victim said he stepped outside and shut the door so the subject could not go inside. He alleged that his ex-girlfriend then pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at him and demanded he leave with her.

The victim claimed that he feared she might hurt him or his wife, so he agreed to leave with her. He said the subject forced him at gunpoint to go with her to an unknown location in San Bernardino, and she allegedly made him use drugs.

The victim said he could have left once they got away from the residence, since he was no longer afraid his ex-girlfriend could harm his wife. But, due to their past relationship, he wanted to get help for her. After three days, he was finally able to convince the female subject to go to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) to seek medical help. She became belligerent at ARMC, so he left her there and got a ride home.

Once he arrived at home on Aug. 13, he told his wife what happened. She called the authorities to report that her husband “was kidnapped by his girlfriend on Thursday” and that he had just returned to the residence around 2:30 p.m. The victim also said he went to the hospital to be tested for diseases.

After calling law enforcement, the victim was at the residence in a black corvette, waiting for deputy contact. As of press time, no information was available regarding possible arrest of the female subject.
