A woman whose vehicle fell over the side of the hill at the helicopter landing pad of the Mountains Community Hospital (MCH) in Lake Arrowhead said that she did not know how she got there, according to Officer Juan Quintero, spokesman for the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

It was 5:32 a.m. on Feb. 24 when Elizabeth Florence Graham, 48, of Lake Arrowhead unexpectedly found herself at 29101 Hospital Road. Her gray 2006 Honda Civic was down below the east side of the helicopter landing pad. The vehicle apparently came to a stop when it struck a bush on the dirt mountainside. It incurred minor damage to the front end.

Officer Llerena, a deputy from the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station, responded to the scene, as did CHP Officer B. Johs.

Graham was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle. She was tested and allegedly confirmed to be under the influence of alcohol exceeding 0.08 percent. After being medically cleared at MCH, Graham was booked on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol in violation of California Vehicle Codes §23152(A) and (B).

Graham was arrested at 6:31 a.m. and was transported to the Central Detention Center (CDC) in San Bernardino. She was cited and released at 5:08 p.m. the same day, with no court appearance scheduled.
