A 35-year-old Crest Park man was arrested, allegedly for supplying drugs to high school students, according to a press release from the Twin Peaks sheriff’s station.

Authorities were tipped off by a woman who called Feb. 9 to report that she was en route to Meadow Brook Road at Meadow Drive, where she believed the male suspect was supplying drugs to her 14-year-old daughter.

Around 8 a.m., the dispatcher sent Deputy Nic Ferronato to the 27500 block of Meadow Drive in reference to a runaway juvenile at a residence. There, Ferronato spoke to Michael Shane Oberdick and located two female victims, 14 and 15 years old, hiding in the bedroom.

During the investigation, deputies discovered that Oberdick had been supplying illegal controlled substances to the victims, and may have been supplying drugs to other students at Rim of the World High School during their passing periods.

A search warrant was authorized for Oberdick’s residence, where deputies located methamphetamine, heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s report.

The deputies arrested Oberdick at 10 a.m. for violation of California Health and Safety Code §11380, furnishing drugs to minors; and for violating Penal Code §273(a), child endangerment.

Oberdick was booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga and held in lieu of $200,000 bail. The case was submitted to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s office for review, and arraignment in superior court was scheduled for Feb. 14 at 12:30 p.m.

Anyone with additional information regarding this case should contact Deputy Jason Mascetti at the Twin Peaks sheriff’s station. Call (909) 336-0600 or WeTip 1 (800) 78-CRIME.
