I would like to personally thank all the crafters that participated in the 2nd annual Community Christmas Store in Running Springs. This store was sponsored by the Running Springs, Arrowbear and Green Valley Lake Chamber to promote any local small business/crafter in the area.

We had 27 people of various talents display their hand crafted/homemade items including wind chimes, birdhouses, jams, jewelry, pottery, candles, crocheted hats and scarfs. The building housing the store was donated by Susie Heisler of the Cut Above Hair Salon for the month of December.

Both tourists and locals patronized the store, making it a huge success. We are looking forward to opening the store for the Valentines’ Holiday and hope that the community will once again “Shop On Top.”

In our quest to always get the “best price,” we forget that our mountain’s survival depends on the local shop keeper staying in business. If we would all just take the time to see and buy what is available in our own back yard, then maybe America would be a lot better position financially. Support each other with your dollars.
