Tuesday, Oct. 1, was a beautiful day for tennis. The weather was not too warm or windy as Rim of the World’s girls tennis team hosted the Jurupa Hills High School Spartans. The Lady Scots took to the courts under the new leadership of Coach Scopen with confidence.

Playing on court one were double players Karen Salazar and Emily Buecheler, who came out a little slow, but eventually took command of the court. They lost the first set 6-3, but came alive and worked as a team to take the next three sets with scores of 7-6, 7-4 and 6-0.

Overall, the Lady Scots Tennis Team won the match with a score of 10-8. Their next home match will be on Thursday, Oct. 10, starting at 3 p.m. The weather should be sunny with temperatures in the high 50’s, so you might want to bring a jacket as you soak up some sun and cheer on the Lady Scots Tennis Team.
