John Stehmeier won another 1st place trophy in his age group and 8th overall at the Deuces Wild Mountain Bike Festival over the weekend of June 8-9.

“I had a great weekend at Deuces Wild Endurance Festival,” said John Stehmeier from Lake Arrowhead.

“I arrived on Thursday evening to support  friends who where racing in the first ever Xterra After Dark, which consisted of a swim at sunset, and a ride and run in total darkness just by way of night lights. I then raced the Xterra Deuces Wild race on Sunday the 9th of June, held at Fool’s Hollow Lake in Show Low, Arizona.”

Stehmeier, owner of Mountain Ponds in Lake Arrowhead, is one of the most active mountain bike racers competing in Xterra races. He won a championship last fall.
