For the fourth consecutive year, the Rim of the World High School Boys Tennis Team began its season as the defending champs of the San Andreas League. Rim returned to its winning ways with a 4 to 1 start to the 2018 season.

This season’s varsity team has a strong set of returning players, including two California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) singles qualifiers, Jason Allen and Dallas Reynolds, and the CIF doubles team of Braden Walker and Will Paganini. Several other Rim veterans also returned to make this team a favorite for another league championship.

Rim opened with an 18 to 0 away win against Hesperia High School. The Fighting Scots had strong play on both the singles and doubles sides and cruised to an easy victory. Rim faced a challenge in an away contest against Division 4 Yucaipa High and fell just short with an 8 to 10 loss. The Scots followed up with three victories against Silverado High School (18 to 0), a league opener at home against Indian Springs (15 to 2), and a road victory against Rubidoux (16 to 2).

Rim faced Arroyo Valley at home on March 20, and will play against San Gorgonio at home on March 22 and Apple Valley away on March 23.
