Last Wednesday was another beautiful day for baseball as the Fighting Scots hosted the Arroyo Valley Hawks in the final home game of the season. Christian Spurbeck, #5, did a great job pitching for the Scots and held the Arroyo Valley Hawks to only one run in the beginning of the first inning. The Fighting Scots were able to score a run in the bottom of the second inning, tying the game 1-1.

Subsequently, in an aggressive play, Kyle Taylor, #24, slid safely into second base, followed by a great defensive play by third baseman Jefferson Piatt, #22, who stopped a hard-hit ball and made the throw to first base. The orchestrated teamwork of the offense, batting and defense won the day for RIM, with the final score of the Scots, 3 and the Hawks, 1. The RIM of the World Varsity Baseball team finished out the season with a 4-11 record.
