Boy’s Volleyball Demonstrate Great Improvement

The Fighting Scots Volleyball team has come a long way over the past few years. The team, as a whole, has improved its competitiveness, displaying high-caliber volleyball for spectators.

On Tuesday, March 3, the Scots hosted the Eisenhower Eagles. During the first set, the Fighting Scots came out aggressively, making the statement that they were going to put up a fight to the finish. The final score at the end of the first set: Rim 24,  Eisenhower 26.

The second and third set was just as competitive, and although the Fighting Scots stumbled against the Eagles, the sets were far closer than the scores indicated. At the end of the second set, the score was Rim 22, Eisenhower 25. The third set ended with Rim at 18 points and Eisenhower at 25.

After the match, I asked Coach Kutch his thoughts on the Scots’ results.

“We are working on our positions and where we need to be and that is just more playing time,” Coach Kutch said.

Rim of the World High School has had a rich history with girl’s volleyball and it has been equally exciting to see this boy’s volleyball demonstrate real competitiveness as they are working on their poise; proving that they can be a competitive force.

Come out and support the Fighting Scots Volleyball team as they host Public Service Academy on St. Patrick’s day, Tuesday, March 17, starting at 3:15 p.m.
