What began as a challenging season, with two feet of snow covering the courts, has blossomed into victory. The Rim of the World High School boys tennis team has extended their league record to an impressive win streak of 8-0.

On Wednesday, April 17, the team hosted Arroyo Valley High School, coming away with a final team score of Rim, 14, Arroyo Valley, 4.

In doubles play, Patrick Crate and Christopher Rakow took a quick lead and swept their opponents in all three of their matches without a single loss.

Lucas Terreri and Patrick Crate are two players who have stepped up to the net and improved the most to help contribute to the team’s undefeated season. They have demonstrated what hard work and focus can do to improve their game and contribute to the team.

Coach Perkins had to watch the weather report in February and see it snowing on the tennis courts. That was only one obstacle she and the tennis team had to overcome to be ready for season play. Congratulations to the Fighting Scots tennis team for overcoming their challenges and still finishing with an 8-0 season this year!
