Two women were injured and one taken to a hospital when their cars collided Monday at the intersection of Highway 173 and Yosemite Drive in Lake Arrowhead.

California Highway Patrol Officer Juan Quintero said the accident occurred at 1:25 p.m. when one of the drivers was making a left turn from southbound Yosemite onto 173.

Quintero said Carolyn O. Sarenana, 65, of Cedar Glen, was making the turn when the white 1999 Mercury Mystique she was driving collided with a silver 2004 Honda CRV driven by Gloria G. Wolf, 80, of Twin Peaks.

Investigating Officer Jason Holzbergerā€™s preliminary report says Wolf suffered pain to her left knee, right shoulder and chest and was transported by County Fire paramedics to Mountains Community Hospital for treatment.

Quintero said Sarenana complained of pain to her neck and chest but declined transport. The accident remained under investigation Tuesday.
